Project goals
Building the capacity to implement the remedial measures indicated in the Vistula River Basin Water Management Plan within the Pilica river basin is the main challenge facing the LIFE Pilica integrated project. The assumed end result is the improvement of the quality and biodiversity of surface waters, with particular emphasis on the Sulejów Water Reservoir.
The project entitled: "Implementation of River Basin Management Plan in the Vistula basin on the example of Pilica river catchment" with the acronym IP LIFE PL Pilica Basin CTRL (abbreviated: LIFE Pilica) received funding from the European Commission under the LIFE program for the environment and climate, and thus thus joined the group of LIFE water integrated projects implemented in the European Union countries.
