LIFE Pilica is an interdisciplinary project financed by the European Commission and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. Its main goal is to improve the quality of water in the Pilica catchment and increase its retention by supporting the implementation of the Vistula River Basin Management Plan (RBMP).
The project is implemented in the Pilica catchment with an area of approx. km, which is located in the area of 93 communes within 5 provinces (Łódź, Małopolskie, Mazowieckie, Śląskie and Świętokrzyskie).
The total budget of the LIFE Pilica
project is 16 306 776 €
The co-financing received from the European Commission amounts to 60%
Co-financing received from the National Fund and Environmental Protection is 35%
