Capacity building to support the implementation of the PGW and their second update
Objective
The role of the project is to create favorable conditions for dialogue for a wide range of stakeholders. Our activities are to improve the work on the implementation of water management plans by developing methods of effective communication and cooperation between the entities involved in this process. It is also important to raise the qualifications of people involved in the implementation of the RBMP at the level of government and local government administration by organizing specialist workshops and conferences with the participation of foreign experts.
The aim of LIFE Pilica is also to care for the socialization of the process of changes and to try to activate the local community, launching processes taking place in civil society, including noticing the role of the natural environment and the need to care for its condition by conducting information campaigns.
Activities within the theme

Building capacity to improve communication and cooperation as well as transfer of experience between entities involved in PGW Wody Polskie
Capacity building for the implementation of water management plans is both a diagnosis of the current state and overcoming limitations, and communication difficulties, improving cooperation, and implementing improvements. By building a good system of cooperation and communication, it will be possible to operate more efficiently and effectively, including the implementation of the provisions of the PGW and its subsequent updates.
As part of LIFE Pilica, capacity building is carried out in particular through cyclical Regional and Catchment Stakeholder Meetings, as well as through contact with Stakeholders, openness to their needs, or attempts to include them in project activities.
Product:
Cyclical meetings of the Stakeholder Platform and 10 Policy brief containing developed methods, procedures, guidelines and recommendations for further cooperation submitted to the relevant ministries.
Increasing public awareness
In order to increase public participation in the decision-making process, it is necessary to take actions aimed at increasing public awareness of the PGW. It is very important to increase the public's knowledge of sustainable water management in the country and environmental protection. The recipients of the campaign need to find out how water management is conducted in the country, what is the role of the river basin management plan, what is the national water and environmental program and what measures it includes, and why it is so important to achieve good water status. Without this knowledge, the public will not be able to actively participate in the process of implementing the measures contained in the PGW and developing its subsequent updates.
Education of children and youth also plays an important role. Showing the basic dependencies in the natural environment in an accessible way and emphasizing the need for pro-environmental behavior in everyday life will help to develop good habits among the younger generations. This will greatly facilitate the implementation of activities contained in subsequent PGW updates and will bring measurable effects in the future.

Public meetings, media drips, social media, popular science and scientific publications, website.
International cooperation in order to exchange experiences in the field of PGW implementation
One way to disseminate information about the project is to network with beneficiaries of other LIFE projects, as well as other national and international projects. Meetings of people implementing projects on similar topics are a valuable source of exchanging specialist knowledge, technologies, and experiences that will allow, on the one hand, to promote, inform about your own project and present proposed activities, and on the other hand, they are a great opportunity to improve your own assumptions, use the experience of other projects. Contacts with other projects are the implementation of the assumptions of the global society and the idea of integration on which the European Union is based.

Exchange of experience with other LIFE projects; presentation of project results at national and international conferences.
